About Ms. Jackson
Rebecca Jackson comes from a family of musicians and music educators and so, from an early age, developed a love for music. She began classical piano studies at the age of 8 and continued her study of piano through university – where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a Piano Emphasis from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Ms. Jackson is an accomplished lyric soprano and has sung with a number of ensembles, including the Colorado Springs Chorale.
Ms. Jackson has taught elementary music for 15 years. She holds a Masters in Music Education from The Hartt School – University of Hartford in Connecticut. She is certified in Early Childhood Music Education through Lynn Kleiner’s Music Rhapsody School in California. In addition, she has been trained in Orff. When she’s not teaching, Ms. Jackson loves to bike, hike, try out new recipes, read, travel, and explore her new home city of Seattle! |
